Dennis Dehn
Entrepreneur, Inventor, Consultant
Dennis L. Dehn is an inventor at heart. His inventiveness has gained him successful recognition in the Automotive Reconditioning industry. His family has always been associated with the love of the automobile. His father Frank raced on the dirt tracks in the 1930s, and 1940s as his big brother Frank Jr. rode with him strapped to a bucket. Stories like this have always reminded him that cars were in his blood.
After a career in the culinary arts and becoming a chef at a young age he decided to pursue a career in an area that he really loved. Entering into the automotive service industry he began classes at trade schools in order to get closer to cars. He graduated from General Motors, Delco Remy in automotive air conditioning and electrical. Still not satisfied with just the mechanics he realized that the appearance was his real desire. At that point along with his older brother they started their own concept of automotive reconditioning. They were referred to in the Wall Street journal in the early 1970's stating “these boys may be onto something.” Over the years in the business they developed process and procedures and would train auto dealers on their methods. In addition they offered a full line of reconditioning products becoming a full service company known as “The Denver Wax Rack”. Even today his older brother Frank stills carries on the tradition in Denver consulting new car dealers on their proven Automotive Reconditioning techniques.
In the late 1980s he accepted a position with a major brand name manufacture. His hard work and innovation earned him the position of Director of Training and retiring as a VP of Product and Business Development. Over the years he would complete over 150 instructional videos for major OEM'S such as Ford Motor Co., Toyota, General Motors, Chrysler Corp. and many others. He was featured on ASTN with Zig Ziglar, and as an instructor on Toyota Live, along with and many other automotive related television appearances. He has taught his processes world wide to auto auctions and users from Europe to Japan. He can be proud as the forefather of the popular Six Stages of Reconditioning and Toyota Certified. These processes and procedures have become a well received and used industry standard. He has had involvement with several automotive patents; his best know contribution to the automotive industry would be the ever popular surface preparation product “Clay”, indorsed by several OEM factories and users world wide.
Today he offers his customers the experience as a user and training consultant. His years of involvement in this industry taught him that training and high quality products were the best formula for success. Please visit our online product gallery.
